This privacy policy applies to the app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Service Provider is Measify Kft. You can reach us at team@measify.com.
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Account. On first launch, the Application creates an anonymous account with Firebase Authentication. It is a random user ID; no name, email address or password is needed. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, the Service Provider receives the email address, display name and user ID that the sign-in provider shares.
Setup answers. During setup you can choose a translation language, the kind of comics you read, how often you read, and a series name. These answers are stored on your device. The language, comic type and reading rhythm may be included in analytics events. The series name you type stays on your device.
Usage counters. To prevent abuse and keep costs fair, the Service Provider's servers count translations per user ID per day. These counters are deleted automatically after 2 to 3 days.
App integrity. The Application uses Firebase App Check (Google Play Integrity on Android, Apple App Attest and DeviceCheck on iOS) to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the Application. This sends a device attestation token, not your content.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns a device token so the Application can receive them.
Purchases. Subscriptions and page packs are sold through the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID, the products you bought, prices, currency, country and purchase dates, so the Application can unlock what you paid for and restore it. The Service Provider does not receive your payment card details. On iPhone and iPad, RevenueCat also receives Apple's attribution token (AdServices), which tells us whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign and which one. It contains no personal data, is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is used only to measure our own ads.
Website (mangit.app). Our website uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-W1E5L44X5X) to count visits, taps on the store buttons and use of the free tools (never what you type into them). On the website's pages, Google Analytics loads only after you tap Accept in the cookie banner, wherever you are; if you decline, it is not loaded. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the page footer. The page people open from a shared link (mangit.app/get) works a little differently: in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner; otherwise Google receives cookieless signals only. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off. Your choice is saved in your browser. The website's pages also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It sets no cookies, does not use your device's storage and does not collect personal data, so it runs whether or not you accept the banner; it sees which page was opened, the referring site, your browser type and a rough country, and Cloudflare keeps this only as aggregated statistics.
Advertising. The Application includes the Google AdMob software. Ads are currently turned off. If they are turned on, they are shown only to users without a subscription, and Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure ads.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to email, userId. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
When you translate a page, the Application:
The Service Provider's servers pass the request to fal but do not store your page images. To make sure only you can check or fetch your own translation, the servers keep a small record (the request ID, your user ID and the model name) for about 2 days. Server logs contain request IDs and user IDs, never images.
fal may keep request details (such as the instructions sent to the model and links to the files, which expire as described above) in its request history according to its own policy, for up to 90 days. Google may process the image as fal's sub-processor to run the model.
One-bubble preview. During setup, the Application can show a text preview of one speech bubble from a page you choose. For this, a smaller copy of the page (at most 1024 pixels on the long side) is sent through the Service Provider's servers to fal, which routes it through OpenRouter to an OpenAI model. The model returns the bubble's text and its translation. The Service Provider does not store the image or the text; the servers keep a count of how many previews your user ID has asked for, which is deleted automatically after 30 days.
Older versions of the Application. Earlier versions translate pages with Replicate, which runs a Google image model. In those versions the page is uploaded through the Service Provider's servers to Replicate, which keeps uploaded files for about 24 hours and handles predictions under its own policy. This path stays available only until those older versions are retired.
The Service Provider does not use your pages to train AI models. Only upload pages you are allowed to use.
Your original pages, translated pages, library, series names, setup answers and settings are stored in the Application's storage on your device. They are not uploaded to the Service Provider's servers. You can delete pages in the Application; uninstalling the Application deletes all of them. Your device's own backup (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include this data, depending on your device settings.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
